Requirements:
- BSc or BTech in Building
- A minimum of 3 years' applicable experience
- Computer literate (familiar with MS Project, Excel & Word)
- Driver's license and own transport a necessity
- Excellent health
- No criminal record
- Knowledge of the build environment with hospitality sector experience.
- Willing to travel and be based on projects outside South Africa
- Willing to work as part of a larger team and take direction
Core Responsibilities:
- To ensure any building work is carried out in accordance with local or national laws and industry regulations as well as with drawings issued.
- Monitoring and directing the progress on the construction site
- Managing the administration role of a site based project office
- Ensure that the project is completed within a specified time.
- Monitor and ensure that Health and Safety regulations are adhered to by all.
- Compile and issue meeting minutes for all site meetings
- Compile and issue weekly project progress reports for internal use and client use.
- Conducting snagging and the issuing of snag lists.
- Be responsible for the collation of handover documentation file for operator / client.
- General office administration
- Record site instructions
- Record and issue drawings on site.
- Compiling and managing a photo library for the project duration
- Report on drawing issues and discrepancies
- Report on programme issues and discrepancies.
- Report to the project manager overseeing the project.
- Report on daily quality of work executed on site.
